Wootton Farmhouse is a beautiful Victorian farmhouse centred on the Wootton Farm Estate. The house has views to the South Downs and the Ashdown Forest and looks out over the lake with its landing stages and ever changing wildlife. The house and farm is approached by its own private drive ensuring a quiet and peaceful stay.
The accommodation is exactly what you would expect from a country farmhouse with a warm and inviting atmosphere. Furnishings are antique and the rooms offer individual character with a mixture of en-suite and exclusive bathroom facilities available. Rooms are double or twin and additional facilities can be offered for children. Tea and coffee making facilities are in each of the rooms.
In keeping with the farm background, breakfast is of the traditional farmhouse type with all ingredients being locally sourced or direct from the farm. Picnics can be provided.
The house is on the centre of a number of footpaths and bridleways and has direct access by horse, foot or cycle to the South Downs. Those visiting Glyndebourne or Lewes with its mass of history and Bloomsbury connections find the house very convenient as do those visiting Brighton. Plumpton racecourse is just one mile away.
Guests are free to use the conservatory with its stunning views to the South Downs.
The famous restaurant at the Jolly Sportsman is within easy walking distance with the Halfmoon just a little further. For those not travelling by car, Plumpton railway station (with direct trains to London) is just 1 mile away.
